The Vegreville Elks/Kinsmen Park was dotted with vendors and customers at the second Pysanka Park Market for the 2020 Season on July 2.

Don Maggs was a vendor who was selling handcrafted frames with photos he captured of old local buildings that are within 20 miles from Vegreville.

Don said he has been doing this craft for 20 years. The frames are made out of old lumber.  It takes him three or four days to make one. “I got into this hobby because I always liked woodworking and taking pictures of old buildings because they are not around anymore. I also do these frames commercially. So, if people want a frame, I can make one especially for them.”

Another vendor, Brad Mills, was selling planter boxes and furniture made of reclaimed barn wood. Brad also made a bench. He does this woodwork as a hobby. “I am a journeyman carpenter by trade and have worked as a carpenter all my life. But this is the first time I tried to sell these products,” Brad said.
