Re-opening of Vegreville Pool and Dance Studio Expected

Vegreville town council is expected to discuss the relaunch strategy plan which includes the re-opening of the pool and dance studio at its Sept. 14 meeting.

Facilities Manager Mike van der Torre told members of council during the Sept. 8 legislative committee meeting that a set of strict guidelines and procedures have been developed and are in accordance with health regulations.

He will be requesting the re-opening of those facilities to take place on Sept. 21. He explained the reason for the delay of the re-opening due to staffing issues and getting everything in line with procedures.

Those details are contained in a memo to council will include the rules for user groups at those facilities as well as the arena.
