Lamont, Alta. – On September 1, 2020 while conducting pro-active patrols on Highway 16, members of the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP ran a licence plate which came back associated to a vehicle fraudulently registered out of Red Deer.

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver and lone vehicle occupant was arrested.

A search incidental to arrest was completed and the following items were located: a small amount of Methamphetamine, credit cards, identity documents, ledgers with personal information, laptops, and hard drives.

Crystal Berridge (39) of Edmonton was issued with several provincial violation tickets and was charged with twenty criminal offences including:

  • Possession of Property obtained by Crime
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Unauthorized use of Credit Card Data
  • Possess mutilated, defaced, altered or false document x13
  • Forgery x4

Berridge was released from custody on conditions following a Judicial Hearing and is set to appear in Fort Saskatchewan Provincial Court on September 17, 2020.
