 Multiple Arrests Made by RCMP Detachments

Andrew, Alta: On June 22, 2020 at approximately 10:30 a.m., the collaborated efforts of Wood Buffalo Drug Section, Two Hills Detachment, Emergency Response Team – North, Eastern Alberta District General Investigation Section and Smoky Lake Detachment resulted in the execution of multiple warrants.

During the execution of a warrant on a rural property in the County of Lamont, three persons were arrested on outstanding warrants, two adult males and one adult female. Police observations made during the execution of these warrants resulted in the scene being secured and an additional search warrant sought. The search warrant was granted, executed and resulted in a handgun, ammunition and drugs being seized by police.

Jeffrey Derrick Hefferan (31), Daphanie Carol Lee Kreutzer (25), both of Wood Buffalo, Alberta, and another adult male from Alberta, have all been charged with:

Jeffrey Hefferan has also been charged with the additional charge of breaching a prohibition order.

Both Hefferan and Kreutzer have been remanded and remain in custody awaiting a judicial hearing.

The information has yet to be sworn for the above criminal charges the other adult male is scheduled to appear in court for. An update media release will be completed once the information is made available to the public.
